Art Blooms: Diverse Artists Shine at Chitra Santhe

Bengaluru's 23rd Chitra Santhe celebrated a wide spectrum of artistic talent on Sunday, featuring participants from young children to seasoned professionals. Among them was Yuvaan, who at seven years old, sold his first oil pastel artwork, with proceeds going to his piggy bank. Other young talents, including six-year-old Nivishka and eight-year-old Aditi, also displayed their colorful creations.

For 23-year-old Sri Dhrithi, a spinal cord injury sustained three years ago led to an unexpected artistic journey. During her recovery, she immersed herself in painting, learning techniques online and developing a unique style with acrylics on canvas. Her debut at Chitra Santhe showcased evolving themes from cityscapes to dance forms.

Manoj Kumar Swain, a director in Dubai, returns yearly to Bengaluru with his family to participate. He finds greater freedom to display his figurative and religious paintings there compared to Dubai's art scene. Neha Priya, a 39-year-old artist, garnered admiration for her intricate monochrome Madhubani-style paintings, created meticulously with a fountain pen nib.
