Director Anil Ravipudi has clarified the controversy surrounding the use of a classic Ilaiyaraaja song in his latest film, "Mana Sankara Varaprasad Garu." The movie, featuring Megastar Chiranjeevi, faced online criticism after the song 'Sundari Kannal Oru Seithi' from the Tamil film 'Thalapathi' was included. Ravipudi stated that the song was chosen for a significant romantic scene and emphasized the importance of respecting music legends.
Ravipudi explained in a media interaction that he and the film's producer personally approached Ilaiyaraaja to secure permission for the song. He assured that the music icon readily agreed, highlighting that respectful and direct requests are key when using his compositions.
