Young artists from approximately 700 schools across Delhi-NCR recently convened at Amity International School for 'Colors for Peace.' This international art initiative harnesses creativity to foster peace, unity, and mutual understanding among children.
Through their vibrant drawings and symbolic representations, these students translated the often abstract concept of peace into tangible art. Their creations depicted diverse interpretations, ranging from interfaith harmony and global togetherness to the personal solace found in home and friendship. Selected artworks from this event are slated for international exhibition, with a prominent display planned at the Colosseum in Rome.
Initiated by Italy-headquartered non-profit Colors for Peace, the organization engages children in 135 countries. Arunima Kukreja, ambassador for Colors for Peace India, highlighted the initiative's role in allowing students to share their values and perspectives. Italy's Ambassador to India, Antonio Bartoli, emphasized how art provides children a platform to express hopes, thereby cultivating empathy and understanding.
