Chief Pascal Departs Firehouse 51

Chief Dom Pascal's time at Firehouse 51 has come to an end, at least for now. Following a crossover event that led to his arrest during an FBI investigation, Pascal was terminated for "unbecoming conduct." The department reportedly aims to make an example of him. Dermot Mulroney, the actor playing Pascal, is stepping back this season, though this is not a permanent exit.

Pascal has stated he is done with firefighting entirely, but his deep connection to the profession makes his definitive departure uncertain. The focus then shifts to his succession. Before leaving, Pascal expressed admiration for Stella's "endless potential," suggesting she might step up. Ultimately, however, Pascal left his office to Severide, indicating that Severide is the new battalion chief for Firehouse 51.
