Dancer Cheryl Burke Reflects on Divorce and Leaving DWTS

In a recent podcast episode, Cheryl Burke, the 41-year-old former Dancing with the Stars pro, reflected on the major life changes she experienced in 2022. Burke revealed that her divorce from actor Matthew Lawrence, 45, "tested" her that year. However, the divorce was not the only significant event in her life - she also exited DWTS after working as a pro dancer on the show for 26 seasons, and she moved out of the home she had lived in for over a decade.

Burke explained that the three big changes all happened within the same year, which she said can be overwhelming for anyone. Despite the challenges, she insisted she has no regrets about how her divorce with Lawrence unfolded. Burke did, however, admit that she still occasionally feels grief over the end of their marriage.

The dancer also confirmed that she and Lawrence had signed a prenup before tying the knot in 2019, a topic she had previously discussed. Burke shared that the prenup was an "ultimatum" for her, consisting of 70 to 85 pages of detailed terms. She ultimately refused to get married without the agreement in place.
