The Wilson Art Gallery and Museum in Cheltenham has announced the nine artists selected for its year-long We Are Creators programme, commencing in early 2026. This initiative is designed to support early-career artists from across Gloucestershire, providing them with essential resources and guidance.
Selected artists will receive dedicated studio space, access to regular mentoring sessions, workshops, and talks. Bristol-based artist Bo Lanyon will lead the mentoring, focusing on building artists' resilience, confidence, and networks to help them establish their unique voices and sustain their practice.
Funded by a National Lottery Project Grant from Arts Council England, the We Are Creators programme has supported 24 residencies and five exhibitions since its inception. The initiative underscores a commitment to nurturing local artistic talent and enriching the wider cultural landscape.
