Chelsea Handler to Host Critics Choice Awards in 2026

On November 17, 2025, it was announced that renowned comedian, TV host, and New York Times best-selling author Chelsea Handler will host the Critics Choice Association's 31st annual awards ceremony in 2026. The live event is set to air across the E! and USA networks on January 4, 2026.

The Critics Choice Association is thrilled to have Handler back as the emcee, with CEO Joey Berlin dubbing her "the best awards show host in the world." Berlin expressed excitement over Handler's ability to blend "her trademark mix of humor and heart" while recognizing and celebrating the most deserving achievements in film and television.

For Handler, the opportunity to kick off the new year by hosting the Critics Choice Awards feels like the perfect fit. As the Chelsea Lately alum noted, "Nothing says 'new beginnings' like a room full of critics ready to tell you how you did last year."
