Chaser's Surgery Delays 'The Chase' Filming

Filming for the ITV game show 'The Chase' has been delayed due to a recent medical procedure involving one of its Chasers, Shaun Wallace. Known as the Dark Destroyer, Wallace, aged 65, recently had a knee replacement operation and has been recovering for the past three weeks. He is scheduled to return to the studio on March 17th and plans to film extensively to compensate for the production time lost during his recovery.

Wallace expressed his eagerness to return, stating he has been training daily to ensure he can resume filming. He is particularly looking forward to the new format, 'Chase Around The World,' which is slated to air throughout May. This new version will feature contestants racing in pairs and solving cryptic puzzles to locate the Chasers in various global settings. Host Bradley Walsh also commented on the innovative format, highlighting its blend of quizzing and travel.

The article also recounts a recent episode where host Bradley Walsh reacted with surprise to a contestant's unusual answer regarding the 'World's Ugliest...' competition, where the contestant incorrectly guessed 'baby' instead of the correct answer, 'dog'. Walsh humorously criticized the choice. Additionally, a former contestant shared their experience of interacting with Walsh and the Chasers backstage, describing Shaun Wallace as 'lovely' after filming.
