Charlize Theron's Kids Steal the Show at Gala

Hollywood star Charlize Theron was a proud mother at the Sixth Annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on October 17, 2026. She attended the event with her two daughters, Jackson, aged 14, and August, aged 12. The actress, who received the Icon Award that evening, was seen sharing a tender moment with her girls on the red carpet.

Theron, known for protecting her children's privacy, has spoken about their growing involvement in her personal life. She shared on The Drew Barrymore Show that her daughters now encourage her to date, expressing amusement at her previous concerns about them feeling threatened. Theron also mused about her current preference for independent living, suggesting her views might evolve as an empty nester.

Discussing the challenges of raising teenagers, Theron humorously described them as "hormonal nightmares." However, she also reflected on the deep emotional connection she shares with her children, acknowledging that despite a public perception of toughness, she is "a softy at heart."
