10 Jul
Summary
- Charlie Sheen will pay $500,000 in back child support.
- The payment covers support for his twin sons, Bob and Max.
- Sheen and ex-wife Brooke Mueller share joint legal custody.

Charlie Sheen has agreed to pay his third ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, $500,000 in back child support for their 17-year-old twin sons, Bob and Max. This settlement resolves a dispute where Mueller had sued for over $15 million in unpaid support and interest dating back to March 2011.
The payments are due in two installments: half by Friday, July 10, and the remainder by Tuesday, September 1. This agreement modifies their previous arrangement, which had Sheen paying $55,000 monthly until he reportedly reduced or stopped payments in July 2011.
Under the new terms, Sheen and Mueller will share financial responsibility for their sons based on who has physical custody. They will continue joint legal custody, provided Mueller maintains sobriety; a relapse could result in Sheen having sole custody until further court order. The twins' primary residence will be with Sheen.
Sheen and Mueller, who were married from 2008 to 2011, also welcomed their twin sons in 2009. Sheen has other children from previous relationships, including Cassandra, Sami, and Lola.
