Charli XCX Reimagines Wuthering Heights with New Soundtrack

Emerald Fennell's cinematic adaptation of "Wuthering Heights," now showing in theaters, offers a contemporary take on the classic novel. The film stars Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, portraying the tumultuous and often toxic love story of Cathy and Heathcliff, from childhood to their complicated adult relationship.

This adaptation is notably loose, deviating from the source material by omitting certain characters and plot points, reflected in the title's presentation. The soundtrack is largely the work of global pop superstar Charli XCX, who has composed original songs for an album also titled "Wuthering Heights."
