Duvier has since stated he was not part of Roan's security team and took responsibility for his actions, explaining they were based on hotel information and prior observations.

Roan's team has also denied her involvement, stating she did not direct any security personnel to interact with Ava or her mother. Despite these denials, the incident caused backlash, with Ava's mother expressing distress over the encounter, which reportedly ruined her daughter's birthday celebration. Reports also indicate Roan may have been banned from performing at a festival in Rio de Janeiro due to the controversy.
