The South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC) concluded its 'Kala Mahotsav' on Saturday with a powerful theatrical presentation. The Hindi play 'Chakravyuh', which starred veteran actor Nitish Bharadwaj in the role of Lord Krishna, served as the festival's final performance.
Written and directed by Atul Satya Koushik, 'Chakravyuh' delves into the profound events surrounding Abhimanyu's demise on the 13th day of the Mahabharata war. It thoughtfully draws connections between the ancient Kurukshetra battlefield and the complex dilemmas encountered in present-day life.
The narrative skillfully weaves themes of karma and dharma, offering audiences a chance for contemporary reflection. Organizers noted that 'Chakravyuh' has enjoyed extensive success, with over 160 performances across India, continuing to attract audiences with its unique fusion of epic mythology and relatable modern themes.
