The cast of Glen Powell's "Chad Powers" is expanding for its second season. Colin Woodell, known for "Pulse," and Gillian Jacobs, famous for "Community," are among the new guest stars. Carey O'Donnell and Nate Varrone will also appear in the upcoming season. The series draws inspiration from Eli Manning's ESPN segment titled "Eli's Places."
In the show, Powell portrays Russ Holliday, a former college quarterback whose career was derailed. He attempts to revive his dreams by adopting the persona of "Chad Powers," an unconventional player who tries out for a struggling football team. Season 1 saw the addition of actors like Perry Mattfeld and Steve Zahn to the ensemble.
Woodell will play Jay, a wealthy alumnus of the team, while Jacobs is set to portray Jerri Dougan, a fervent fan. O'Donnell takes on the role of Mr. Brent, the head of cheerleading, and Varrone will play Dustin, who gets inadvertently involved in Chad Powers' deception.
