Actress's Brother Detained 444 Days in UAE!

Actress Celina Jaitly has shared her deep anguish over her brother, Maj. (Rtd.) Vikrant Kumar Jaitly, being detained in the UAE for over a year. She revealed that he has been held for 444 days and was incommunicado for eight months, leading to a 'countdown of fear, hope & unbearable silence' for her family. The single call he managed to make has haunted her with its conveyed pain.

Jaitly emphasized her brother's dedicated service in the Indian Army's 3 Para Special Forces, noting his injuries sustained while serving the nation. She expressed concern over a perceived pattern of Indian soldiers and veterans being targeted abroad, questioning if this jeopardizes national security. She urged the Indian government to take decisive action, similar to that seen in Qatar, to secure his return.

The Delhi High Court has directed the Ministry of External Affairs to provide legal assistance to Jaitly's brother. Despite his decorated military career, clear information regarding his welfare or legal status has been elusive. Jaitly remains resolute, vowing not to stop her public fight until her brother is safely back on Indian soil.
