Celia Cruz, a three-time Grammy winner, built a career spanning over 60 years with more than 80 albums. Her contributions were recognized with the National Medal of Arts in 1994. She passed away in 2003, and a New Jersey service area was later renamed in her honor.
Queen Latifah, born Dana Owens, began her career in music before transitioning to a successful acting career, earning an Oscar nomination. She received the National Medal of the Arts in 2024. Her recent work includes the CBS series "The Equalizer," filmed in North Jersey.
The induction ceremony will be held on November 14, 2026, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The event will premiere in December on ABC and Disney+.
