Canadian showrunner and writer Celeste Parr, through her company Punctuation Media, has entered into a first-look deal with Bell Media and Blink49 Studios. This agreement focuses on developing original scripted content for the global marketplace.
The initial project under this new deal is "We Never Happened," an hour-long romantic drama described as a gripping, global romantic thriller. Parr launched Punctuation Media in 2024 with Oliver Kane to support her slate of international scripted titles.
This collaboration follows Parr's recent work as showrunner for CBC's 'Plan B,' for which she received a Canadian Screen Award nomination. Her upcoming feature film, "Ethel," is slated for production in 2027.
Parr's existing project, the drama series "Prejudice" starring Emily VanCamp, is also in development with Bell. Bell Media and Blink49 Studios, a co-owner of which Bell is a part-owner, expressed enthusiasm for Parr's ability to create compelling female characters and ambitious television.
The announcement coincides with the Banff World Media Festival and follows Bell's recent 2026/27 slate reveal, which includes a TV adaptation of "Meatballs."
