The 2026 series of Celebrity Traitors concluded with Romesh Ranganathan and actor Sebastian Croft being crowned the winners on Friday night. The finale, however, was marked by the notable absence of several cast members, including James Acaster, who had made history by revealing himself as a Traitor on Thursday.
Acaster, along with other celebrities like Maya Jama and Sharon Rooney, reportedly skipped the reunion taping due to filming commitments for various projects. Fans expressed concern and confusion over Acaster's absence and his minimal mention during the 'Uncloaked' finale episode, with some speculating he was being edited out.
The show's conclusion also ignited a debate among viewers about the casting of comedians. Some fans voiced dissatisfaction, calling for fewer comedians in future seasons due to perceived untrustworthiness and a desire for more contestant variety. The BBC has announced that the Death in Paradise spin-off, Return to Paradise, will air next Friday.
