Celebrity Big Brother 2026 Shifts to ITV2 in Major Format Change

As of November 14, 2025, fans of the Celebrity Big Brother series are eagerly anticipating the show's return in 2026. The latest winner, Coronation Street favorite Jack P. Shepherd, was crowned just last year after a dramatic 19-day run that featured the likes of singer Chesney Hawkes and actress Patsy Palmer.

However, viewers can expect a significant change when the series makes its comeback. ITV has confirmed that Celebrity Big Brother will now air on the ITV2 channel, rather than the main ITV1 network. According to ITV's MD of media and entertainment, Kevin Lygo, the decision was made to better accommodate the booking of "big celebrities" and "famous people" that the show requires.

While an exact premiere date for the 2026 season has not yet been announced, the expectation is that it will air in the early part of the year, likely sometime in April, and run for just under three weeks as in previous years. Rumors are already circulating about potential contestants, with names like Junaid Ahmed from The Only Way is Essex and Real Housewives of London OG Amanda Cronin reportedly in talks to participate.
