Celebrated Actor Satish Shah Dies at 74 After Kidney Failure

Satish Shah, a beloved figure in Indian cinema, passed away last month at the age of 74 due to kidney failure. Prior to becoming one of the country's most celebrated comic actors, Shah spent his formative years in the heart of South Mumbai, surrounded by cricket legends and playing alongside them.

In a recent interview, Shah fondly recalled his childhood neighborhood, which produced many talented cricketers. He grew up alongside the likes of Sunil Gavaskar and Sudhir Naik, sharing wonderful memories of playing cricket together. Shah described Mumbai as a smaller world back then, with the city limits ending at Dadar.

The late actor also spoke about his close friendship with fellow actor Farooq Shaikh, with whom he had worked since the 1970s. Shah expressed deep affection for Shaikh, recalling his uncontrollable laughter even on stage.
