Oscar Winner Zeta-Jones Faces Deadly Threat

Oscar winner Catherine Zeta-Jones is set to star in the upcoming thriller series "Kill Jackie." This new show, premiering on AMC+ later this year, features Zeta-Jones as Jackie Price, a woman who has spent two decades living under the radar as a wealthy art dealer after a past as an international cocaine dealer. Her carefully constructed anonymity is shattered upon discovering a contract has been issued by "The Seven Demons," a notorious group of elite assassins, to end her life.

"Kill Jackie" is a gender-swapped adaptation of Aidan Truhen's novel "The Price You Pay." Directed by Damon Thomas, known for his work on "Killing Eve," the series also stars Daniel Ings. The show is created by Tom Butterworth and Conor Keane. Outside the United States, the series will be available on Prime Video in several European territories and Canada, with Fremantle managing international sales. Dan McDermott of AMC described Zeta-Jones' performance as "magnetic."
