Cat Stevens Postpones North American Book Tour Amid Visa Troubles

In a disappointing turn of events, renowned musician Cat Stevens, now known as Yusuf, has been forced to postpone the North American leg of his book tour due to visa issues. The tour, which was scheduled to kick off on October 2, 2025, has been indefinitely postponed as Yusuf waits for his visa approvals.

According to an Instagram post from the singer, the production logistics necessary for the tour could not be arranged in time due to the significant delays in the U.S. immigration processing. Yusuf expressed his frustration, saying he is "really upset" about the situation, especially for his fans who had already purchased tickets and made travel plans to see him perform.

Despite the setback, Yusuf tried to maintain a positive attitude, noting that the book tour's delays "should not affect the book, which you'll still be able to enjoy." He also promised that North American fans may still get a chance to see the tour in the future, though the dates could be further in the future due to his other travel plans.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame star is the latest foreign artist to be affected by the reported slowdown in processing visa applications and the Trump administration's immigration crackdown, which has resulted in a number of overseas acts cancelling or postponing tours this year.
