Carl Verheyen: The Session King's Seattle Encore

Legendary guitarist Carl Verheyen, a prominent figure in music for more than 40 years, is scheduled to perform at Seattle's Triple Door. His show will feature his five-piece band, showcasing a career that spans orchestral scoring, arena tours, and intimate blues clubs.

Verheyen, celebrated as one of the world's greatest guitarists, previously served as Supertramp's lead guitarist for over three decades. As a sought-after Los Angeles session musician, his playing is featured on soundtracks for films like "Star Trek" and "Ratatouille," and television shows such as "Seinfeld" and "Cheers."

He expressed particular enthusiasm for performing in Seattle, calling The Triple Door "one of the best-sounding rooms" and praising its crew. Verheyen also noted his appreciation for the venue's staff and ambiance, even using it for promotional video shoots.

His band includes veteran musicians like bassist Dave Marotta and drummer John Mader, with vocalist Hollye Dexter significantly enhancing their sound with four-part harmonies, shifting the band's focus to song-centered performances. Tickets for the upcoming show are priced at $30 for general admission and $35 for premium seating.
