- Plaintiffs claimed Cardi B copied their song 'Greasy Frybread'.
- The song 'Greasy Frybread' was not copyrighted at the time of filing.

Cardi B has achieved another significant legal win, with a federal judge dismissing a $50 million copyright infringement lawsuit. This case involved accusations that her song "Enough (Miami)" unlawfully copied the plaintiffs' work, "Greasy Frybread."
Joshua Fraustro and Miguel Aguilar filed the suit in July 2025, claiming Cardi B "misappropriated and profited" from their song. They asserted the rapper released "Enough (Miami)" without permission, causing industry reputational damage and blacklisting. The plaintiffs stated their song was released for Sten Joddi.
However, Cardi B's legal team presented a compelling defense. They successfully argued that "Greasy Frybread" lacked copyright protection at the time the lawsuit was filed. The song was officially registered for copyright only on October 31, 2025, more than a year after the suit commenced. This pivotal detail led to the judge's dismissal of the case without prejudice.
