The Dastan Autoworld - Pranlal Bhogilal Collection is marking its 25th anniversary with a groundbreaking Car and Cinema Festival. This inaugural event seeks to bridge the gap between the public and the world of vintage and classic automobiles by leveraging the appeal of cinema. The festival, scheduled from February 27 to March 1, will screen movies that showcase cars, including acclaimed international and Indian films. Movies like "Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi" and "The Italian Job" are slated for exhibition. "What would be a better medium to connect the masses to the world of vintage and classic cars than cinema?" questioned Brijesh Chinai, custodian of the Dastan Autoworld. The museum, boasting over 100 cars, many acquired from former princely states, offers a deep dive into automotive history. Museum consultant Gautam Sen highlighted that these vehicles possess rich historical narratives. Organizers are considering making this unique festival a recurring annual event.
