Organizers noted a strong leaning towards psychological and atmospheric horror, with many projects utilizing high-concept frameworks to explore themes of grief, isolation, and belief systems. The Pavilion aims to be a platform for both emerging and established filmmakers, balancing artistic ambition with market viability.
The Fantastic Galas have become a crucial space for genre cinema, with films screened there consistently achieving better sales. This success is attributed to the event's integration within a major film market, fostering a dynamic ecosystem for genre films to connect with global audiences.
