Students and emerging filmmakers have until February 25 to apply for immersive programs at the Cannes Film Festival, presented by IndieWire's Future of Filmmaking at The American Pavilion. These opportunities offer an insider's perspective on the renowned cinematic event.
The Cannes Intensive and Cannes Student Program provide access to screenings, panels, and networking events, connecting participants with industry professionals. The Student Program also includes a four-hour daily internship for film, media, business, and journalism students.
Since 1989, The American Pavilion has facilitated these experiences. The programs include an industry badge, accommodation, and transportation. The Student Program runs from May 10-24, 2026, with the Intensive focusing on May 17-24, 2026. A separate Emerging Filmmaker Showcase accepts short film submissions until February 21.
