Joachim Trier's "Sentimental Value" leads the pack with nine nominations, including best picture and director. Other Cannes alumni like "The Secret Agent," "Sirat," and "It Was Just an Accident" also received multiple nods, with all four nominated for best international feature.
The Venice Film Festival ranks second, securing 15 nominations for four films. Among them are Guillermo del Toro's "Frankenstein" and Yorgos Lanthimos's "Bugonia," both competing for best picture. Venice also saw nominations for "The Voice of Hind Rajab" and "The Smashing Machine."
