A film capturing Cameron Winter's December 2025 sold-out performance at Carnegie Hall is set to be released this fall. Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, the movie, titled "Cameron Winter at Carnegie Hall," will premiere on November 20 in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Santa Monica before expanding to theaters across the U.S. and Canada.
The concert was filmed on 35 mm and 16 mm film, showcasing songs from Winter's solo album "Heavy Metal," his "Singles" EP, and as-yet-unreleased material performed on piano. The audio was recorded by Grammy-winning producer Ariel Rechtshaid and will also be released as a live album on October 9. Benny Safdie co-produced the film.
At 23, Winter was reportedly one of the youngest solo artists to headline Carnegie Hall, a distinction previously held by Bob Dylan in 1963 at age 22. For historical context, Enrico Caruso debuted at the venue at 30 in 1903, and Luciano Pavarotti was 37 at his first performance in 1973.
Winter's solo album "Heavy Metal" received critical acclaim, appearing on Rolling Stone's year-end list alongside Geese's "Getting Killed." While Winter performed a secret solo show in Queens in January, he is also touring this fall as a member of Geese.
