Calamity Films Joins Forces with Avalon

Calamity Films, founded by David Livingstone in 2013, is entering a new phase through a strategic partnership with Avalon. This alliance positions Calamity Films alongside the UK's premier independent production company and a leading global talent management business. The companies did not disclose the financial specifics of the deal.

This collaboration is set to enhance their joint creative endeavors. Notably, Calamity Films is involved in developing 'Pride the Musical,' which is scheduled to premiere at the National Theatre in 2026. This project reunites director Matthew Warchus and writer Stephen Beresford, with a slate of new television and film projects also in development.

David Livingstone, founder of Calamity Films, expressed his long-standing admiration for Avalon's team and their independent spirit, seeing this partnership as a natural progression for Calamity's future. Avalon CEO Laura Kennedy echoed this sentiment, emphasizing a shared dedication to distinctive producers and creative excellence.
