101 Studios has acquired the rights to "Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic," the memoir by Bunnie Xo, whose real name is Alisa DeFord. This project is being expedited for a film adaptation by Paramount Pictures, following 101 Studios' new first-look deal with Universal Pictures.
The memoir chronicles Bunnie Xo's remarkable transformation from life in a Las Vegas trailer park to achieving podcast stardom and becoming a media mogul through her company, Dumb Blonde Productions. The film adaptation aims to mirror the book's narrative, emphasizing her unwavering grit and inspirational journey of redemption.
Bunnie Xo is also the host of the highly successful podcast "Dumb Blonde," which attracts over one million downloads each month. She is married to rapper and songwriter Jelly Roll. The book, published recently, has maintained a position on the New York Times Best Sellers List for three consecutive weeks.
"Writing this book was one of the most vulnerable things I've ever done. I told my story the only way I knew how: raw, real and unapologetic," Bunnie Xo stated. She expressed her excitement about the story transitioning to the big screen, hoping it reminds people that their past does not define them, but their comeback does.
