BTS & OREO: A Sweet Reunion
26 May
Summary
- BTS members have completed mandatory military service.
- Limited-edition OREO flavor inspired by hotteok.
- Partnership recalled a song mentioning 'Oreo' 14 years ago.
The popular K-Pop group BTS has officially returned, with all seven members – Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook – having now completed their mandatory military service.
To mark this significant reunion, BTS has partnered with OREO to launch a unique, limited-edition cookie. The flavor is brown-sugar pancake, inspired by the traditional Korean dessert known as hotteok, and features distinctive purple cookies.
This collaboration evokes nostalgic memories for the band. RM recalled a song from their trainee days, titled 'A Typical Trainee's Christmas,' which was released 14 years prior. Jimin remembered the song’s chorus included the word "Oreo."
RM highlighted the serendipitous nature of the partnership, noting the lyric sequence, "Oreo. The company keeps telling me to practice." This historical connection makes the OREO collaboration feel especially meaningful and destined.
