Actress Recalls Iconic Spider-Man 3 Role, Stunt Injury Aftermath

In September 2025, actress Bryce Dallas Howard, who played Gwen Stacy in the 2007 film Spider-Man 3, reflected on her experience working on the movie during a panel at L.A. Comic Con. Howard, now 44 years old, spoke fondly of her time on the set, describing the cast and crew as a "little circus" that came together with a collective focus on creating something special for audiences.

Howard praised director Sam Raimi as "unbelievably collaborative and inclusive," noting that the entire team's dedication to delivering a great experience for viewers truly inspired her. She also discussed her involvement in some of the film's stunts, explaining that as an actor, she wanted to do as much as she could, while working closely with the stunt coordinators to ensure her safety.

However, Howard did reveal that she sustained a minor injury to her shoulder from being "rescued by Spider-Man" during one of the stunt sequences. She recounted visiting her osteopath afterward, who was surprised by the extent of the injury, thinking she had been "dragged by a truck." Despite this, Howard emphasized that she is a "safety fanatic" and doesn't have a "ton" of aches and pains from her stunt work.

In addition to her role in Spider-Man 3, Howard has gone on to join other major franchises, including Jurassic Park, Twilight, and Star Wars, where she has even worked as a director.
