Bruno Mars has officially entered into a global music publishing administration partnership with Avex Music Group. This significant agreement is scheduled to commence once Mars concludes his existing contract with BMG/Warner Chappell in the summer. The CEO of Avex Inc., Katsumi Kuroiwa, stated that Bruno Mars is one of the most culturally impactful songwriters of his generation and expressed honor in partnering with him. Brandon Silverstein, CEO of Avex Music Group, conveyed thrill in welcoming Mars to Avex and anticipating support for his songs.
This new deal follows the recent release of Mars' fourth album, 'The Romantic,' in February. The album marked his first solo project since 2016 and debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart. Its lead single, 'I Just Might,' also reached No. 1 on the Hot 100. The album's success positioned it as his first to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, similar to his second album, 'Unorthodox Jukebox.' 'The Romantic' arrived after the success of his hits 'Die With a Smile' with Lady Gaga and 'APT.' with Rosé.
