Cashmere King's Humanistic Capitalism Doc Trailer Drops

A new documentary, "Brunello: The Gracious Visionary," from Oscar-winning director Giuseppe Tornatore, is set to debut in the U.S. and Canada on July 24. The film chronicles the remarkable journey of fashion icon Brunello Cucinelli, often called the "King of Cashmere." Cucinelli's story begins in humble beginnings as a farmer's son in Italy's Umbria region.

Through a blend of interviews, archival footage, and reenactments, the documentary details his ascent in the fashion industry. It highlights the creation of his billion-dollar luxury clothing brand, renowned for its high-quality cashmere. Cucinelli's business model is deeply rooted in humanistic capitalism.

The film showcases how Cucinelli established his company headquarters in Solomeo, Italy, transforming the village and employing many of its residents. This approach emphasizes dignity, beauty, and social justice, reflecting his belief that human beings need dignity as much as sustenance.

Saul Nanni portrays Cucinelli in the reenactment sequences, joining a cast that includes Francesco Cannevale, Francesco Ferroni, Emma Fatone, and Beatrice Carlani. Cucinelli himself served as a producer for the project.
