Bronwyn Finds Her Voice: Songwriting on 'Rattlin' Bones'

Bronwyn, a two-time IBMA Award-winning fiddler, has released her latest solo album, 'Rattlin' Bones,' on August 14. This project signifies a new artistic chapter, showcasing her development as a songwriter.

After achieving a Grammy in 2023 with Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway and exploring lead vocals on her 2024 album 'I Built A World,' Bronwyn dedicated the past year to deepening her songwriting craft.

'Rattlin' Bones' features a rich tapestry of sonic textures, including bluegrass, alt-country, and jamgrass. Bronwyn collaborated with notable songwriters Melody Walker and Pat McLaughlin on several tracks.

McLaughlin, who co-wrote six songs with Bronwyn, worked on "Gallatin Road," a funky homage to a classic Nashville area, also featuring artist Timbo.

"Virginia Gal" offers a pure bluegrass sound, "Golden Hour Dream" a hazy folk vibe, and "Rainbow Trout" a jazzy feel, drawing inspiration from '70s and '80s country and bluegrass artists.

Bronwyn's four years with Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway provided invaluable experience, influencing her solo career and band assembly. She also performed alongside notable musicians and joined Dierks Bentley for a bluegrass rendition of Tom Petty's "American Girl" at the CMA Awards in 2024.

She recorded 'Rattlin' Bones' over four days in 2025 with a diverse group of musicians, including members of her touring band and Nashville luminaries.

Previously releasing music as Bronwyn Keith-Hynes, she has now adopted the mononym Bronwyn to simplify recognition and enhance accessibility for her audience.

With songwriting established, Bronwyn is already planning her next musical endeavor, aiming to capture her band's sound in a future live or studio recording.
