"Broken Bird" is based on Mitchell's own short film, "Sybil." The movie has already garnered attention, having opened London's FrightFest and screened at the Trieste Science+Fiction Festival. It also received a nomination for the Emerging Raven Award at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFFF).
