Broadway's box office saw a strong performance last week, with "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" leading the charts by grossing $2.65 million. The magical play played to 98 percent capacity, maintaining its top position.
"Hamilton" secured the second spot with $2.1 million, followed closely by "Wicked" at $1.942 million. "Mamma Mia!" also showed strong numbers with $1.941 million as its Broadway run nears its end on February 1, making way for "Death of a Salesman."
"Stranger Things: The First Shadow" garnered $1.74 million, reflecting continued interest. Meanwhile, "Hell's Kitchen" saw an increase to $955,416 in grosses and 82 percent attendance.
Industry-wide, total grosses rose 1 percent from the previous week, with attendance remaining stable. Year-to-date grosses are up 8 percent and attendance up 3 percent, signaling a robust recovery. To encourage attendance during the slower winter months, Broadway Week runs from January 20 to February 12, offering discounted tickets.
