Elsbeth Welcomes Brittany Inge as Wendell Pierce's Onscreen Daughter

Viewers of the hit CBS series Elsbeth are about to witness some exciting new developments as Brittany Inge joins the cast as Wendell Pierce's onscreen relative, Julia Payne Wagner. According to Inge, Julia is Captain Wagner's family member and will be "giving him a lot of headaches—as if he needs that with how stressful his job already is."

While the details of Julia's role remain somewhat mysterious, it seems she may become involved in the NYPD's investigations, potentially proving to be an "asset" to the team. Stills from upcoming episodes tease Julia working at the precinct, and she also appears to be getting close to Detective Rivers, played by Braeden De La Garza.

Inge, who was already a fan of the show, expressed her delight at the opportunity to work with the talented cast, especially the esteemed Wendell Pierce. "I have followed his career forever. I'm a huge fan, and my first scene was with him," she noted, adding that Pierce was a "welcoming and grounding" scene partner.

As the Elsbeth team prepares for the departure of series regular Carra Patterson, executive producer Jonathan Tolins teased that the show will be introducing "new characters who test Elsbeth's feelings about honesty and trust." Fans can look forward to seeing how Julia's arrival and the other changes will unfold in the upcoming third season.
