Spears' Mugshot Stays Private Amid DUI Arrest
11 Mar
Summary
- Britney Spears' booking photo will not be released by authorities.
- The singer was arrested for driving under the influence in March.
- Her legal troubles follow her conservatorship termination and divorce.

The Ventura County Sheriff's Office has decided not to release Britney Spears' booking photo following her arrest for driving under the influence. Officials stated that the photo's release is discretionary and typically reserved for violent crimes or immediate public threats, neither of which apply to Spears' situation.
Spears was taken into custody on March 5, 2026, after being arrested by the California Highway Patrol the previous day. She is scheduled to appear in court again on May 4, 2026. Following her arrest, Spears deactivated her Instagram account.
This incident occurs nearly five years after the termination of her conservatorship in November 2021. Spears had publicly sought to end the conservatorship, which had been in place since 2008.
After her conservatorship ended, Spears married Sam Asghari. The couple announced their separation in August 2023, after 13 months of marriage. Both Spears and Asghari have publicly shared their perspectives on the divorce.
Earlier in May 2024, Spears was reportedly escorted from the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles with Paul Richard Soliz. Emergency services responded to a call regarding an injured adult female, but no one was transported, and police were not involved.
