Britney's Cryptic Messages: Mean Girls & Past Embarrassments

Britney Spears recently shared cryptic messages across her Instagram account, appearing to address perceived "mean girls" and the media. In one post on Friday, May 29, she wrote, "If you're one of those mean girls pointing and laughing... River sends you guys a message!!!!!!!!" This was followed by another post on the same day where Spears filmed herself dancing, stating, "When I moved out of the country for a while I changed my name for some reason and the mean girls stopped laughing!!!!!"

Further reflecting on Tuesday, May 26, Spears expressed feeling "too much chatter" occurring behind her back, which she stated affects people. She indicated a desire for the media to stop showing embarrassing past events and to respect her spiritual journey. These uploads come after Spears' March 4 arrest following a police stop for alleged erratic driving.

Following her arrest, Spears was taken to a hospital for blood work, which was reportedly within legal limits. In April, she was charged with driving under the influence. By May 4, Spears accepted a plea deal, receiving 12 months of probation, credited jail time, a DUI class, and mandates to see a psychologist weekly and a psychiatrist twice monthly.
