A new Civil War-era supernatural thriller titled "Brine" has completed principal photography, starring Dave Annable and Jennifer Holland. The film follows a group of Confederate deserters who abscond with stolen gold and vanish into the Georgia marshlands.
Seeking refuge in a secluded plantation house, the deserters discover their sanctuary is tied to an ancient, inescapable, and predatory entity. Director B.J. Golnick described the film as a narrative exploring survival, inherited violence, and the myths created to justify it.
Golnick aims for "Brine" to feel intimate and historically accurate, with its supernatural elements appearing unearthed from the marsh itself. The cast also includes Jonah Wharton, Sissy Sheridan, and Grayson Lay, adding depth to this unnerving tale.
