NBC has canceled the medical drama "Brilliant Minds" after two seasons, marking the end of the series. The show featured Zachary Quinto in the lead role as Dr. Oliver Wolf, a neurodivergent neurologist whose innovative methods often clashed with hospital administration.
The series, inspired by the life and work of neurologist Dr. Oliver Sacks, saw its future in doubt earlier this year. NBC had initially moved "Brilliant Minds" from its primetime slot to accommodate coverage of the Winter Olympics, replacing it with an expanded "The Voice."
The network later announced a return date for the drama's final six episodes in May 2026. Despite its unique premise and a notable cast, the show will not be returning for a third season.
