In a recent interview, acclaimed actress Brie Larson reflected on her brief but eventful foray into the music industry in the early 2000s. Larson, who is now 36 years old, joined Kylie Kelce on her "Not Gonna Lie" podcast to discuss this surprising chapter of her career.
Larson revealed that back in 2003, she signed on to do a Disney Channel original movie called "Right on Track." Shortly after, she landed a record deal and released a studio album, "Finally Out of P.E.," in 2005. That same year, Larson was asked to open for Jesse McCartney while he was touring for his "Beautiful Soul" album. Larson described this experience as a "fever dream," saying she was "out of her mind" with excitement to be touring with the popular "Leavin'" singer.
Despite her success as a pop performer, Larson ultimately decided the music industry "wasn't for her." She shifted her focus to acting, which has since brought her widespread acclaim, including an Oscar win. However, Larson revealed that she still "loves" pop music, calling it "one of the highest art forms" and saying that pop stars are her "heroes."
