Filmmaker Brett Ratner has offered an explanation for his appearance in recently surfaced photos from the Department of Justice's Jeffrey Epstein file release. Ratner stated that the woman accompanying him in one of the images was his former fiancée from about two decades ago.
He asserted that he did not have a personal relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and did not know him well, explaining that his fiancée had invited him to the event where the photo was taken. Ratner, who has never been married, clarified that the woman in the photo was his fiancée at the time.
The Department of Justice released millions of documents linked to the late sex offender, including images of Ratner, Epstein, and others. These photos, which do not suggest any wrongdoing by Ratner, have circulated online. Ratner expressed no concern about the photos, stating he knew the truth behind the image.
