Hart revealed he felt he could have engaged in a feud with McMahon, inspired by the events of WrestleMania 23. However, a legitimate and severe concussion he had sustained previously made wrestling impossible. This physical limitation prevented him from pursuing the opportunity at that specific moment.
Despite the initial setback, Hart eventually returned to WWE for a program with McMahon in 2010, years after his initial inquiry. This later match, however, is notably remembered as one of the least-regarded bouts in WrestleMania history.
