Brendan Fraser Returns as Rick O'Connell in 'The Mummy 4'!

Brendan Fraser is set to reprise his beloved role as archaeologist Rick O'Connell in the highly anticipated "The Mummy 4." The film is scheduled for release on October 15, 2027, bringing Fraser back to the action genre after a hiatus. He confirmed his return during an appearance on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon.

Fans will be excited to know that Rachel Weisz, who played Rick's wife Evelyn in the first two installments, will also be returning. John Hannah, who portrayed Evelyn's brother Jonathan, is confirmed to join them. Fraser expressed enthusiasm about reuniting the original cast.

Fraser, now 57, acknowledged the long wait for this sequel, with the last film in the original trilogy, "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor," releasing in 2008. He is actively training to prepare for the physical demands of the role, highlighting his commitment to delivering a memorable performance.

This role marks a significant return to action for Fraser, who recently garnered critical acclaim and an Oscar for his dramatic performance in "The Whale" (2022). He has also appeared in other notable films like "Killers of the Flower Moon" and "The Rental Family."
