The production house behind Ranbir Kapoor's Brahmastra 2, Starlight Pictures Private Limited, is actively seeking a studio partner. After initial talks with Jio Studios and Yash Raj Films failed to reach fruition, the producers have reportedly entered advanced discussions with Namit Malhotra, known for his work on the upcoming Ramayana.
Prime Focus, co-founded by Malhotra, previously collaborated on the first Brahmastra and possesses significant VFX expertise, making them a potentially strong fit for the visually intensive franchise. Although no deal is finalized, negotiations are progressing.
Ranbir Kapoor is expected to commence shooting for Brahmastra 2 in April 2027. This schedule follows his commitment to Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana Part 2, which he aims to complete by January 2027.
