Emmerdale actor Bradley Riches and his new husband Scott Johnston are radiating newlywed bliss, sharing the details of their emotional wedding celebrations.

The couple first met at drama school in 2020, beginning as friends during the unique circumstances of lockdown, which ultimately brought them closer.

Their relationship solidified during this period, leading to their first official date in Brighton. Following this, they moved in together and their relationship continued to flourish.

Scott orchestrated a memorable proposal in Sorrento, Italy, which involved a surprise and a series of comical mishaps for their friends. Despite a chaotic lead-up, the proposal itself, featuring candles and a sunset, was deeply romantic for Bradley.

Their wedding ceremony took place at Lillibrooke Manor & Barns in Maidenhead, Berkshire, on Wednesday, April 8. The event was described as 'absolutely magical' and was attended by numerous celebrity friends, including co-stars from Emmerdale and Celebrity Big Brother.

The celebration included 14 bridesmaids and featured personal touches like rose buttonholes and a repeat of Bruno Mars' 'Count On Me' for their first dance. The reception was filled with outdoor games and impromptu performances.

Following their wedding, the couple experienced honeymoon drama when their planned trip to Turkey fell through, leading to a 'mini-moon' in Portugal. They are now planning a Caribbean cruise for later this year.
