Brad Pitt Returns for World War Z Sequel

Brad Pitt is confirmed to star in the forthcoming sequel to Paramount's "World War Z." The film will be directed by Edward Berger, who recently collaborated with Pitt on "The Riders." Plot specifics for this long-awaited sequel are currently being kept confidential by the production.

The original "World War Z," adapted from Max Brooks' 2006 novel, achieved substantial commercial success. It garnered more than $540 million in worldwide box office revenue. Pitt will produce the new film via his company Plan B, alongside Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner. Berger is also attached as an executive producer.
